Pipe Olet Definition

The outlet is forged steel pipe fittings and provides branch from larger to small diameter pipeline. It’s purpose for connecting main and branch pipe. There are some common outlet types:  Weldolet, Socket Outlet, Threadolet. And material are Carbon Steel, like A234 WPB Carbon Steel Weldolet. Stainless Steel, like 316 Stainless Steel Threadolet and Alloy Steel, like A350 LF3 Sock Weld Outlet. The standard are usually ASME B16.11 and MSS SP-97.

Weldolet Pipe Fittings

The weldolet is the most common of outlet pipe fittings for branch tube connection. It’s end to be beveled and weld to the straight tube. Therefore we called it butt weld pipe fittings. The designing minimizes the stress concentration and provides the whole reinforcement. There are three pressure levels, STD, XS and Sch160.

Sockolet Pipe Fittings

It’s basement is same as weldolet, but the branch connection is socket weld. There are two pressure, 3000# and 6000#

Threadolet Pipe Fittings

It’s basement is same as weldolet, but the branch connection is thread, no need to weld. There are two pressure, 3000# and 6000#

Latrolet Pipe Fittings

It is a 45 Degree branch fittings. The connection could be butt weld, socket weld and thread.

Elbolet Pipe Fittings

It is used with LR or SR elbow and provides branch connection. Connecting branch tube can by butt weld, socket weld and thread.

Nipolet Pipe Fittings

It is mostly used in valve installation and exhaust. Two grades of thickness, XS and XXS. The length is from 3 1/2 Inch to 6 1/2 Inch. The end is socket or male thread.Sweepolet Pipe Fittings

The shape is wave and the whole complement is strong. Connecting branch pipe by butt weld, usually used in the low pressure pipeline.
